You wouldn’t want to live here

When people visit our town, they tend to say things like “it’s a nice site to visit but I wouldn’t want to live there.” As a permanent resident, I wholeheartedly agree with this sentiment, except for one thing – I don’t want to live here, as well as if I ever moved I would never want to visit it. The tourists as well as visitors see one side of the town, but the rest of us know the truth. The other afternoon it was too tepid out to go to the beach. Can you imagine how irritated it must be outside that going to the ocean doesn’t help? That’s what it is like living here! My condo has a central , but does not have a heater. Not once has anyone ever needed to use a furnace around here! I honestly run our cooling system throughout the year, with no need to ever invest in a oil furnace. I have invested in a minute, small air conditioning unit just for our kitchen. I also bought a nice, compact dehumidifier that I keep near the front door. To keep itself from overflowing, the dehumidifier has a failsafe switch that shuts it down when the water bag gets too full. I have to empty out the dehumidifier every single afternoon, or else it will shut down in the middle of the night. That is a staggering amount of humidity being pulled from the air quality. Thanks to this little device, our central cooling system can cool down the apartment a lot faster than ever before
