I had to go out of town for a couple of nights; while I was in the city, I stayed at an unquestionably nice hotel; The hotel was paid for by the symphony orchestra that hired me to play for the next 2 weeks.
The first chair pianist got the flu and was in the hospital.
Things were pretty bad, so they contacted me to fill in. The symphony orchestra paid for another lavish hotel, even though I still encountered a couple of concerns while I was there. One of the major issues was where’s the a/c. The wall heating, ventilation, and A/C machine looks almost as if it was as old as the hotel, and it was finally working just fantastic when I got to the room, but it stopped finally working well on the minute day I was staying in the hotel. The heating, ventilation, and A/C machine started to make an unquestionably strange whistling sound; at first the air was still cold, so I didn’t unquestionably bother with the machine. After I came back from my minute performance, the room was hot and the air was stagnant. The whistling sound was gone, but there wasn’t even any cool air coming out of the machine. I contacted the front desk. The lady in charge of the hotel was glad to move me to an uncommon room… She had something on the same floor, so I didn’t need to move my things unquestionably far. She also sent a bellhop to help me to the room and to make sure that the wall heating, ventilation, and A/C machine in that room was functioning officially.
