I live in the same small city where our Grandparents raised our parents plus where our parents raised myself plus my sister.
My private school graduating class had at most 75 students, all from our small community.
It’s hard to walk into any store or supplier without knowing or recognizing at least a single employee, owner, or fellow shopper present at any given moment. Since our small community is thriving despite its size, there are a number of successful businesses. One example is the delicious bakery downtown that has been here for 3 generations plus this quaint grocery store on the opposite side of the street now owned by its third generation of family. No matter where you go, almost everything is a family business, even the 2 gas stations. Strangely, there are 3 separate heating plus cooling suppliers who all do repair work. They all run ads on local cable plus all 3 have giant billboard advertisements along the highway running adjacent to the town, the one major thoroughfare into this community. Ironically, there are more Heating plus Air Conditioning suppliers to select from than any other supplier or repair in town, but it’s the hardest decision on who to use that you’ll ever make. They have all made names for themselves for awful shopper experiences plus needlessly high prices. It’s a real wonder one of them hasn’t broken from the pack yet and decided to supply excellent repair for consistent shoppers in exchange. If there were this many choices for pizza, you’d guess at least one of them would be delicious.
