Paying attention can help you save money on your energy bill.

I do my best to keep an eye on the household budget.

During these different plus uncertain economic times, a person has to be on top of household spending.

It would be easy to simply be less disciplined while you hope for the best then spend as you please, however, that is just not a responsible way to act, especially when you’re a parent. Working from the A/C cooled comfort of home has allowed us to be a bit more aware of our spending. The pandemic has forced all of us to be a bit more aware of our finances as it has caused great harm to the economy plus our people. But, it absolutely doesn’t take all that much to keep our finances straight. It just takes paying attention. Another pay off due to just paying attention is the greatly reduced HVAC energy load this summer. Normally, I don’t pay all that much attention to the A/C. This is dumb because it can be very overpriced in our part of the country. A/C cooling is essential here so I have always just accepted that paying for that is par for the course. Well this summer, I l discovered that it doesn’t have to be that way. Instead of overpaying because I’m over cooling a house, I just paid attention. I made sure that I was keeping about 15 degrees between our inside temperature and the outside temperature. I was stunned to see what an enormous difference this made in our energy bill.
