I’m easily glad that the summer season has arrived, since it’s been a truly long, frigid Winter around here.
Spring really wasn’t much better, either, to tell you the truth.
It was totally rainy and freezing all Spring and I was starting to wonder if the weather was ever going to be warm for us. Apparently, that sort of weather didn’t pose much of an issue to the bee, hornet, and wasp population because they seem to be just dandy around here. When I was cleaning out the garage and trying to get all of our summer season stuff down from the attic, I noticed a truly scary thing. I was moving all of our beach stuff down, like the boogie boards and the beach tent, and abruptly three colossal hornets flew straight at me! I screamed and nearly fell off the attic ladder although I made it back into the residence without getting stung by a hornet. When I peeked into the garage a little bit later, I saw that it wasn’t just a few random bees flying around, but there was a constant stream of spine-chilling looking hornets flying in and out of the garage. I recognized that I must have disturbed their wasp nest when I was moving things in the attic. Well, I didn’t bother trying to go out there and spray them myself. I have dealt with tons of wasps and hornets in the past and I knew that it was definitely a job for the professionals. I called up a single one of the local wasp extermination companies and made an appointment in a jiffy. Then I stayed far away from the garage until they arrived at my residence the next day! They were able to remove all of the wasps safely and now I can get back to the attic for my summer season arrangements.
